Reminder note for South Austin Arts Society Salon #3
Hi friends! Here is a reminder note for the next SAAS Salon #3. If you have not been to a salon before, the gathering is enriched by who is present. Conversations and ideas and even just moments of checking-in with each other is the purpose.
Our next Salon will be Monday November 17, 7-9pm.
Where: Grotto 101, 2605 Suite 101, Austin, 78745
What's going to happen and how?
Figure models will pose for a relaxed "sip and sketch" experience for this salon evening's event.
All artists of all disciplines are invited and not all need to participate in the themed activity. Being together is the heart and purpose of these salons and the South Austin Arts Society.
SAAS will provide some easels, painting and drawing supplies, music and conversation. As usual, beverages and foods will also be available for attendees. However, if members wish to bring their own supplies, please do.
Remember: all artists and arts supporters are welcome. Visual art experience not required as participation in the scheduled activity is entirely optional.
If you wish to support these events, consider joining as a member for just $5 a month, which supports the club's activities. SAAS does have an aspiration to grow our membership community.
Another SAAS future event for your calendar: Tuesday, November 25, "rites of being performance art series" featuring a private screening of e-coli's Bait and Hook (with Chad Salvata and Heather Barfield) – a one-night only performance art experience on November 1, 2025. Also, members and attendees can BYOP (bring your own performance - 10 minutes or less, with minimal setup). More details forthcoming in the next newsletter.
More info can be found in our ever-growing events calendar.
