Welcome to the landing page on the world wide web network for the South Austin Arts Society, also known as SAAS.

SAAS is a private members-only social club for artists and creatives within the greater Central Texas region and a geographical emphasis on South Austin.

SAAS hosts meetups, happenings, guest talks, social relaxation time, member networking, experimental performances and much more. These occasions are held within the cozy and intimate black box laboratory, Grotto 101, located in the Westgate neighborhood of South Austin.

SAAS was established by a group of artists and patrons as a refuge for the creative community to exchange ideas, discuss process, offer support and mutual aid,promote, explore, and advocate for productions and innovations. Due to rising costs of living as well as the slow dissolution of spaces for live and visual arts, particularly those artists who work with fringe or exploratory mediums and methods, SAAS provides low-pressure and affordable ways to gather, play, and engage in both thrilling and mundane conversations about the past, present and future of arts, culture and creation.
