A Couple of Native South Austin Gals present "Abstract Adventures" & "A Tribute to Pamela"
It has been a quiet but steady winter as we sift through the leaves. We are preparing the garden for a series of upcoming events for the South Austin Arts Society community.
What is this really about? To be real with you: the idea for SAAS was simply to have a little piece of the world for artists to gather in a clubhouse. Specifically, a place that is cozy and secluded just enough for trust and allyship and curiosity and play. It also means that we can curate events just for members.
Some of these events include art exhibitions, private movie screenings, workshops and classes, meditation mornings, and more...such as...
Spring Exhibition
It is with great pleasure that SAAS will host their exhibition, "Abstract Adventures" & "A Tribute to Pamela" featuring works by women over the age of 65.
When: April 24-26, with opening reception Friday night, 6:30-8:30pm.
Saturday and Sunday open gallery hours: 1pm-5pm.

More about the artists: Corrine Moore (Corrine Moore Designs) and Cindy Green became reacquainted at a Crockett High School reunion. They found they shared a common interest: art. Corrine paints abstracts and repurposes vintage frames. Cindy, versatile artist and executor for the late Pamela Stallcup, exhibits Pamela's emotionally powerful yet soft watercolors.
South Austin Arts Society paid members receive a 10% discount on all framed art in the exhibition.
We hope to see you there and in support of older women artists' work and the world that they experience.
